CCD Updates(04/11/2025)

1)Tomorrow, our church will celebrate a 13-hour Eucharistic adoration from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please commit to at least one hour of adoration.

2)The Bible Quiz final (online)  will be conducted tomorrow( Saturday, April 12th 3:00 pm EDT to 5:00 pm EDT (2-hour window).Candidates can take the Quiz from their home. The quiz will be remotely proctored. Please see more details below and also in the attached Guidelines.

▪ Candidates can start the quiz any time within the scheduled time slot and will get an hour to finish.
▪ There won't be questions from the footnotes or references.
▪ There are no negative marks.
▪ There will be 75 questions for Grades 4-12 and 100 questions for adult candidates.
▪ A trial Quiz will be available for the purpose of checking internet connectivity and system readiness.

▪ Verse-based Questions: Answer the chapter and the verse number given the quoted verse or answer the correct quoted verse given the chapter and verse number. The questions will be from the Gospel of Mark for students and from Gospel of Mark and Letter to Galatians for adults. There will be a maximum of 5 questions in this category.

As a special recognition, Senior citizens (aged 60 or above) who score 80% or above in the final quiz will be awarded a certificate of achievement from the Diocese. Please update the specific field in the SpeedExam candidate profile.

3) Please take note of our Holy Week schedule. Palm Sunday service will begin in the auditorium. Please stay with your teachers at the front, and when Achan calls your grade for the procession, kindly move forward to the procession with your grade and teachers.

4)After the Holy Saturday Mass(April 19th 2025), around 10:00 AM, the CCD team will host a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt for children from Pre-K to 5th grade.Please see below for the details

6) The Syro Malabar USA Diocesan Eucharistic Convention will take place at St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Forane Church, Somerset, NJ, from May 23rd to May 25th. There will be separate sessions for kids, youth, and adults. We encourage you to participate in this blessed gathering. Please find the registration details in the link below.

7)Please reserve your dates for the CCD day which is on 06/01/2025) which is after the 10.00 AM mass. We will honor all students who scored 90% and above with 80 percent attendance.We will also distribute volunteer certificate for all our students who participated in the various volunteer activities
