CCD Updates(04/04/2025)

1) This Sunday, we will have CCD at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:30 AM. During this Lenten season, each CCD grade will have a coin jar for students to contribute money earned through small deeds and sacrifices, fostering the true spirit of almsgiving. We kindly encourage you to support your children in participating in this meaningful act of generosity 2) Please take note of our Holy Week schedule. 3)After the  Holy Saturday Mass (April 19th 2025), around 10:00 AM, the CCD team will host a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt for children from Pre-K to 5th grade.Please see below for the details 4 )The  Bible Quiz final (online)  is fast approaching and will be conducted on  Saturday, April 12th 3:00 pm EDT to 5:00 pm EDT (2-hour window) . Candidates can take the Quiz from their home. The quiz will be remotely proctored. CCD Updates(03/22/2025)

1)Tomorrow, our church will be celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph with a common Mass at 10:00 AM. In a special way, we will also be commemorating the 25th anniversary of our Chicago Diocese. Additionally, we will be inaugurating the Holy Childhood Association and marking its anniversary. 2)Our Lenten retreat will begin next week, with separate sessions for different grades .One for children from Pre-K to 5th grade and another for students from 6th grade and up. The retreat schedule is as follows: Friday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to spiritually prepare for Holy Week.  3) Please take note of our Holy Week schedule. 4) The  Syro Malabar USA Diocesan Eucharistic Convention  will take place at  St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Forane Church, Somerset, NJ, from May 23rd to May 25th . 1) Tomorrow, the church is celebrating Ash Monday Mass at 7:00 PM , followed by the imposition of ashes . This sacred day of fasting and reconciliation  is a time for prayer, reflection, and devotion. We encourage you to join the  Ash Monday Mass with your family. 2) The Syro Malabar USA Diocesan Eucharistic Convention will take place at St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Forane Church, Somerset, NJ, from May 23rd to May 25th . There will be separate sessions for kids, youth, and adults . We encourage you to participate in this blessed gathering . 1.This Sunday, CCD will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the English Mass at 11:30 AM. After the Mass, a Parent-Teacher Meeting will take place at approximately 1:00 PM. Each class will hold its own meeting, and we warmly encourage you to connect with your child's teacher and take advantage of this opportunity to engage more deeply with the CCD program. The classroom arrangements are as follows: Grades 10, 11, and 12 : Big Classroom Grades 7, 8, and 9 : Church Grades 5 and 6 : Class 1 Grades 3 and 4 : Class 2 Grades 1 and 2 : Class 3 PreK and Kindergarten : Crying Room 2.
